1 day agoMore than a century after it sank off the coast of Antarctica polar explorer Ernest Shackletons ship HMS Endurance has been located apparently intact and in good condition. The Endurance the lost vessel of Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton was found at the weekend at the bottom of the Weddell Sea.

The ship was launched in 1912 from Sandefjord in Norway.

Endurance did not reach land and became trapped in dense pack ice and after they were stuck in the ice for 10 months the 28 men on board were forced to eventually abandon ship.
